Ancient Maa-sai traditions have been harnessed to create something that looks at home in a bar in LA. Each design is a one off and takes two weeks for the women to sew by hand in their own home (depend-ing on their busy schedule of family duties!) This is fair trade in its purest form. Founded by designer Antonia Stogdale, Antassia bead project partners with the Mokogodo Maasai women of Northern Kenya to give them a sustainable income. Antassia has empowered over 100 women and enabled many to send their children to school for the first time.
