| Tembea means 'walk' in Swahili. We're not totally sure why Penny gave them this name. What we do know is that when we went to the Penny Winter studio to select the items for this shop, two out of three of us tried these on and two out of three of us walked out the door still wearing them. Accidently of course. |
Internationally acclaimed designer Penny Winter loves to bring eclectic, unassuming materials together to create bespoke jewellery which captures the essence of her African homeland. Her design studio provides a sustainable fair wage to local women and supports several beading and horn workshops outside of Nairobi.
