Nakupenda - ‘I love you’ in Swahili. Standing on a table or handing from a tree, we love this decorative angelic duo.
Each handmade decoration helps supports its maker and their family.
This angelic pair have been handcrafted in Nairobi from the dried fibres found inside of a sisal plant. Sisal is known for its strength and durability and is traditionally used in Kenya to make rope, twine, baskets and an array of other useful household items.
Sisal grows extremely well in Kenya’s harsh climate without the need for pesticides and fertilizers, making it a great sustainable material. The dainty wings, heads and arms are crafted from the dried fibres of discarded banana leaves.
Subtle variations in size and colour may occur due to the handmade nature of this decoration.
